Greystone Hall Wedding in West Chester | Sara & Shawn

Lincoln and I have been looking forward to Sara and Shawn’s Greystone Hall wedding since their West Chester engagement session earlier this year. Our top priority is always to get to know the couple well enough so that we can actually call them friends and not just clients, which makes it so much easier to capture unguarded authentic emotions in our images. This is why engagement sessions are so important, so we can build that connection before the big day! Needless to say, by the time Sara and Shawn’s wedding rolled around it felt like we were just hanging out with old friends, which is quite obvious in the below pictures!

Everyone was super nervous about the thunderous forecast and it was a real nail biter waiting to see if the ceremony would be outside or inside. Our worries quickly disappeared as the sun shined through the clouds to provide heavenly light for their outdoor ceremony and even throughout the tented reception! Every last reception detail was absolutely exquisite and had the guests oohing and aahing, but most importantly it was a blast! It was pretty obvious that these two are perfect for each other and they could not stop smiling at each other, which we loved! Sara and Shawn happen to be awesome dancers and their friends kept the dance floor packed. It was a pretty epic night and one that I’m sure will not be forgotten by any of Sara and Shawn’s guests (especially the guy who probably needed medical attention after doing numerous crazy splits on the dance floor haha!).

Loews Hotel Philadelphia Wedding | Sheryl & Brian

We’ve been looking forward to Sheryl & Brian’s Philadelphia Loews Hotel wedding ever since we roamed the city streets during their downtown Philadelphia engagement session. We make it a point to arrive to every wedding early with plenty of buffer time to account for obstacles such as traffic (or in this case a ‘defective’ Starbucks coffee that decided to recolor my entire dress espresso brown, but luckily the city makes last minute shopping easy!). Some couples just light up whenever they catch each other’s eye, which happened quite a lot as you’ll see below. Walking around a city in full wedding garb is quite a rush. You feel like you are the absolute center of the world; that everyone is awestruck and enviously watching from afar (which they are!).

Destination Wedding Photographers | Sandals Antigua

Chelsea and Matt are a pretty special couple to us – we first photographed their engagement session in Center City Philadelphia and we knew we were destined to be buds. This pair is incredibly laid back, goofy, and just plain fun to be around! They even brought their awesome labradoodle, Tanner, to the session – which we LOVED. As the big day approached we couldn’t help but be giddy with excitement…we were off to photograph Chelsea and Matt’s love story at one of the most romantic destination wedding in the world, Sandals Antigua! How awesome is that?! Let me start off by stating the obvious: destination weddings are the best – from the island vibe to the jaw dropping sunsets and pearly white beaches, Antigua is a photographer’s dream. While Lincoln photographed the boys donning Hugo Boss before the ceremony (aka rap music + Ice Age 4), I went off with Chelsea who was equally as playful all while looking truly stunning (not that Matt wasn’t looking stunning as well! haha). We had a great start to the day, angelic light and lovely subjects to photograph. The intimate ceremony took place in Sandal’s grand gazebo where Chelsea and Matt were surrounded by their best friends and beloved family members. After the ceremony we moved quickly around the shore and the resort to capture some breathtaking portraits of the couple. We were blessed with a heavenly sunset and couldn’t be happier with how the photos turned out! The reception took place by the reflection pool and the guests really let their hair down! From the heartfelt speeches to the wild dance moves – this was one celebration that will not be forgotten! We had so much fun and even developed a few special inside jokes with Chelsea and Matt (you know which pose I am thinking of!!) that they feel like friends, not just clients. Many many congratulations to you guys – you make an AMAZING pair and we were so happy to be apart of your adventurous Sandals Antigua destination wedding!

Lake House Wedding in Virginia | Meredith & Ben

When I got a message from an old Penn State friend saying that she was looking for a wedding photographer and had fallen in love with our photography – I was super excited. Not only did I know we were going to be working with a beautiful, fun bride, but to top it off the super intimate ceremony was being held at her family’s lake house in Virginia. Let me tell you, it was well worth the 4 hour drive from Philadelphia! Meredith is as funny as she is pretty, so I was excited to work with her and meet her groom, Ben, for the first time. Lincoln later told me that while Ben was getting ready they were chatting and Ben just kept gushing about how he was so excited to marry Meredith and how he couldn’t believe he got so lucky. After spending the day with them, it was plain to see how head over heels in love they are. The ceremony was beautiful and we loved the special touches they put into it, including the oathing stone ceremony and the anniversary wine box that Ben made himself (so talented!). We had a blast doing their portraits after the ceremony – Lincoln and I even went out on the boat to get a different angle! It was such a special day and we loved being apart of it! Here’s to your “love story still being written.”

Atrium at the Curtis Center Wedding & Basilica | Steph & Josh

Josh and Steph’s wedding day was truly an adventure to Philadelphia’s most romantic spots that can easily be summed up as a fairy tale. Each of their venue choices were spectacular and made our job easy. We began our day getting ready at the Downtown Marriott and then headed over to The Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul. We always love photographing ceremonies here and Josh and Steph’s wedding certainly lived up to the grandeur of the church! The ceremony was beautiful and suited the day’s epicness quite well. The couple shared some tender moments as we took the party bus around the city to capture some classic Philadelphia wedding portraits all around the Art Museum and Love Park. The reception took place at the stunning Curtis Center wedding venue. We love how open and bright the venue feels. Steph was amazing on the dance floor and definitely stole the show! They were such a fun, playful couple and make such a good pair. We’re super jealous of their month long honeymoon to Australia and a few other exotic places! p.s. the Curtis Center wedding maitre d’ and coordinator are some of the most professional/efficient people we’ve worked with, special thanks to Emily and Larry!
