Please Touch Museum Wedding | Sarah & Mike

It would be completely accurate to say that Sarah and Mike’s marriage began in a blaze of glory. That’s right – on the afternoon of their Please Touch Museum wedding, the venue was actually on fire. It is important legally, for us to note that “we didn’t start the fire…it was always burnin…”. I will say that Mike and Sarah were really fired up to get their ceremony underway…OK that’s enough fire references! Luckily, Sarah and Mike are such a fun, easy-going couple and they didn’t let the delay ruin their day at all (the fire was in the basement and was all cleaned up prior to the ceremony luckily). In fact, Sarah took full advantage and we got some great pictures with the fire trucks! Their ceremony was absolutely stunning, taking place in the entrance of Please Touch. Afterwards, we had a blast visiting all the different exhibits and getting lots of fun portraits. The reception was stunning and they went with a really cute candy theme for each of their tables. It was a good idea, because many guests were taking their table’s candy to other tables to make trades – it got everyone up and mingling! This was a wild group of Haverford grads and they definitely knew how to have a good time! Here are a few highlights from this adventurous day!

Custom Photography USB Drives for All Clients!

Guess what? Today marks a new era for all Bartlett Pair clients. As part of a continuing effort to offer our clients nothing but the best premium photography experience, we have upgraded our method of delivering digital files. Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you already know that the world of technology is quickly shunning DVDs as a storage device. The latest computers don’t even come with a DVD drive anymore! So we’re excited to announce that all clients will receive these gorgeous custom Bartlett Pair Photography USB drives. They’re faster, more reliable, and overall way cooler than any DVD. We can’t thank our friends at USB Memory Direct enough for making the entire design/delivery process so much easier/faster than we ever expected. If you ever check them out, be sure to mention that we sent you and I’m sure they’ll be extra nice :)

Philadelphia Engagement Pictures | Sheryl & Brian

Sheryl and Brian are one adventurous couple – which they really proved when they planned their Philadelphia engagement pictures for the afternoon after a blizzard! As luck would have it, most of the snow had melted, but we hit the streets of Philadelphia to get some fantastic photos. Sheryl and Brian were so fun and so natural, which made photographing them a breeze! Sheryl put a lot of whimsical touches into the portraits – the night before when her save-the-date sign failed to arrive on time, she scrambled to make a d.i.y. save-the-date sign and some cute Valentine’s Day inspired heart decor! They were super cute and added a lot of her fun-loving personality into the photos. The session really has us looking forward to their October Loews Downtown Philadelphia wedding – we can’t wait to see all of their details come together!

Hotel DuPont and Brantwyn Estate Wedding

Jaime and Chad are the kind of couple who you work with one day and feel like you are great friends from the get-go. They are sweet, personable, and all-around good people to be around! Jaime and I joke that it is because anyone named Jaime is just the best ;) Their friends and family certainly feel the same way, as there was a lot of love for them on their big day. The icing on the cake was the opportunity to photograph two DuPont properties in one day; getting ready at the luxurious Hotel DuPont followed by a glamorous Brantwyn Estate wedding. I started out the day with Jaime and her girls at Hotel Dupont while Lincoln went with Chad and the guys. Getting ready was a blast and Jaime simply glowed. She looked stunning throughout the entire process! When we got to Brantwyn Estate for the wedding, the picture-perfect day really came full circle. The mansion and grounds were beautiful – something out of a fairy tale! The ceremony was held in the lower garden and Jaime made her grand entrance from the mansion down to her groom. The ceremony was lovely and went off without a hitch. We were losing light quickly, but managed to get all the family pictures done and then we got creative for the bridal party shots! We had no sunlight to work with so we used our lighting equipment to capture some great group shots in the pitch black. Then the reception took place in a tent under the stars. It was gorgeous and all of Jaime’s little personal touches were very evident, from the delicate china selection to the handmade signs on the chairs of the sweetheart table, readings “Mr. Right” and “Mrs Always Right”! Their personalities were put into everything, including their Charities Table, once again showing what sweet, generous people they are. We had a great time photographing the evening and the dance floor was definitely the place to be all night long!  Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell – you deserve all the happiness in the world!

Tendenza Wedding Reception with Waterworks Ceremony

Natalie and Numa are a perfect match for one another and their entire wedding day really showcased their fabulous personalities. Natalie’s attention to detail was visible in every part of her wedding, from the ceremony at Waterworks to the Tendenza wedding reception. We started the day at the Sofitel in Philadelphia where I started photographing the girls while Lincoln stuck with the guys. Natalie and the girls got their hair and makeup done upstairs while everyone gushed over Natalie’s divine details; from her shoes to her garter to the little champagne glass charms with each bridesmaids’ name on them – she did not miss a thing! From the Sofitel the bridal party went to Waterworks for the ceremony. It was a beautiful setup with the Philadelphia Art Museum visible in the background and beautiful columns segregating the ceremony space. The ceremony had live music and delicious lemonade for the guests to enjoy. It was a very fun ceremony and you could tell that Natalie and Numa’s personal connection to their officiant really made it all the more special for her to be marrying them. They triumphantly marched back down the aisle as man and wife and were greeted by their loving family and friends immediately! We hung out at Waterworks, taking some gorgeous shots of the bridal party before heading to the posh reception taking place at Tendenza. Upon arriving at Tendenza, the cocktail hour was just nearing an end. The reception space was a stunning combination of different textures, colors, and there were personalized table numbers that were actually special places to Natalie and Numa. It was a really cute way of once again making their details really personal! The centerpieces were gorgeous and lush and it was obvious that Tendenza was the perfect reception venue for such a city-loving couple! We had such a blast photographing their wedding day and they were just the sweetest couple. Congratulations to Natalie and Numa!
