Rehoboth Beach Country Club Wedding

We first photographed Kristin and Scott at their Maryland engagement pictures this May at Washington College. It was such an amazing day we lost track of time exploring their college town and stirring up old memories – including an epic story about how Scott’s fraternity got accused of burning down a gazebo on a dock, although the story ended with them finding the real culprit! Their Rehoboth Beach Country Club wedding was bound to be a great time, as we love reuniting with couples after a fabulous engagement shoot. The morning of the wedding, the forecast called for a tornado at Rehoboth Beach, but somehow the weather held out for us…ALL DAY! We had amazing bright blue skies, perfect weather (albeit a teeny bit windy!), and gorgeous scenery for all of our photos. The entire bridal party, bride and groom especially, were amazingly fun and so spirited! From the party bus to the reception, they were non-stop fun – Kristin even rocked out dancing on the bus the entire ride to the reception. She was such an awesome bride! We had such a great time photographing the wedding at Rehoboth Beach Country Club that the entire day literally flew by! We were sad to say goodbye, but I’m sure Kristin and Scott were psyched to held to their honeymoon in Hawaii! Lucky! And as they say in Hawaii, a hui hou kakou (until we meet again)!

Longwood Gardens Engagement Pictures

Even the summer heat wave couldn’t stop Steph and Josh from having a blast during their Longwood Gardens engagement session. We started our engagement pictures by heading to the gazebo by the lake, which was a favorite spot for Steph and Josh. We must have arrived during maintenance hours because there were five or six workers in the lake behind the gazebo! We were easily able to work around them and they were very accommodating! We worked our way around Longwood Gardens, exploring and finding great engagement photo locations. We had a great time chatting and I’m really excited for Steph and Josh’s June 1, 2013 wedding at the Curtis Center! Definitely stay tuned for those pictures next year because the venue and wedding is bound to be stunning! Thanks Steph and Josh for a fabulous time and engagement shoot!

Franklin Institute Wedding

Blair and Jon’s wedding day began at The Four Seasons in Philadelphia, where both the bride and her bridesmaids and the groom and his groomsmen got ready in separate suites. Right away, we could tell this was going to be a fun group! From there, we walked across Logan Square to the spectacular Franklin Institute wedding venue. We enjoyed exploring the wedding venue and photographing the group at various locations in and around the Franklin Institute. The wedding ceremony was beautifully unique and took place in the main entrance, which was a very convenient location for guests considering the museum’s massive size. Blair was literally breathtaking as she came down the aisle and the ceremony went off without a hitch! Franklin Institute weddings are so much fun because you can use any room in the museum, and the possibilities are endless! Afterwards, everyone went up to the Franklin Institute rooftop for a gorgeous view of Philadelphia and to attend the cocktail hour. Blair’s personal touches were everywhere, from the personalized monogram she created to the delicate purple and white blooms. The reception took place in the Benjamin Franklin Memorial Ballroom (aka Franklin Institute rotunda) and it was a jaw dropping sight to see! The room was lit up with hues of blue and purple and the atmosphere was grand and magnificent. This was definitely a show-stopper wedding and we couldn’t be happier for Blair and Jon. Congratulations! We have several upcoming weddings at the Franklin Institute, and simply cannot wait to go back. The staff is wonderfully efficient and cordially escorted guests between locations. If you want all your friends to be jealous, a Franklin Institute wedding makes it easy.

White Clay Creek Country Club Wedding in Delaware

Jennifer and Joseph’s fairy tale took place at the charming White Clay Creek Country Club in Newark, DE. It was a gorgeous, super sunny day and they took full advantage of that by having an outdoor ceremony. The girls arrived via limo and Jennifer got ready and changed into her gorgeous dress with rosette details, from Jennifer’s Bridal. She was such a sweet bride and was so happy the entire day – giggling the entire time she got ready with her girlfriends. J.R. and the guys were getting ready nearby in the men’s dressing area and they were definitely having a pretty good time themselves! The ceremony was really special and you could tell the entire time how in love Jennifer and J.R. are – they had a very sweet moment when J.R. saw Jennifer coming down the aisle. Our outdoor portraits afterwards were beautiful and then we all drove on golf carts down to a beautiful bridge on site. The reception was a blast – complete with a photo booth and a packed dance floor. All of the wedding party and guests flocked to the dance floor and really made the most of the night! Summer 2012 has brought us to several wedding venues in Delaware, and White Clay Creek Country Club really offered some gorgeous Delaware wedding photography. Jennifer and J.R. were so much fun to work with and their love for each other is so romantic!

A Day with ‘The’ Family

This past weekend we had the pleasure of stopping by to photograph the The Family! That may look like a typo, but their last name really is “The”! Pretty cool, right!? Jill and Andrew have a precious daughter named Mia and a brand new, 2 week old son named Max. Their kids are seriously adorable! Babies grow so quickly that we were super excited to capture these precious moments. This June we will see them again when we photograph Jill’s sister, Jodi’s, wedding at Vie! We really felt like part of the family, and have no doubt their little ones will be comfortable hamming it up at the wedding ;)
