The perfect wedding venue to wow guests
It’s not often we say that a wedding day was absolutely perfect, but Paisley and Joe’s Grounds for Sculpture wedding was exactly that. The landscaped grounds dotted with unique, cultural and one-of-a-kind pieces is a fairytale-like location. Around every corner of the grounds are large scale sculptures that certainly won’t be found at other weddings. Conveniently located in Hamilton Township, New Jersey, and home to the popular Rat’s restaurant.
Paisley and Joe chose Grounds for Sculpture because every picturesque view is simply magical. As wedding photographers, our brains were absolutely bursting around every corner. The wedding package includes an event coordinator that eliminates any thoughts of wedding planning stress. When the event date came, every detail of this wonderful place was perfect, from the private bridal suite to the attentive service. The event planning made the wedding services absolutely perfect. The water garden is a horticultural wonder, with every single person enamored at the cocktail hour. The entire day was an absolutely unforgettable experience. The grounds offer many options for a beautiful event, whether you’re having a micro wedding, less tiny wedding, or spreading out across the entire venue. The venue has exclusive catering services by the Constellation culinary group, the brains behind Rat’s restaurant, and works with brides and grooms to create such delicious meals that are absolutely beautiful. In case of rain, the indoor back up location choices can be trusted to make the wedding day absolutely perfect.
If you’ve never seen a Grounds for Sculpture wedding, then you’re in for a treat!
Paisley and Joe made the process so much fun. When we first heard they were planning a Grounds for Sculpture engagement session we were so excited. Lincoln and I originally toured Grounds for Sculpture many years ago with our family, so the opportunity to photograph such a unique engagement session took us over the moon. The grounds have so many beautiful event spaces!
Leading up to the Grounds for Sculpture wedding day, we had so many ideas running through our heads for bride and groom portrait locations. The really nice thing about the Grounds for Sculpture is that it is a massive 42 acres. So, there was no lack of ideas for locations to use! This is especially true given the changing foliage for each season. Thankfully, we were blessed with absolutely gorgeous weather in May. Even better, the grounds staff foster appreciation for the artistic aspects of the grounds, and their entire team showed us special little details of the sculpture park that often go unnoticed.
A wedding ceremony that we’ll never forget
Their wedding was bursting with vibrant colors and rich texture, with the wedding ceremony taking place in the Garden of the Nine Muses. The wedding ceremony backdrop quite perfectly fit Paisley & Joe’s Game of Thrones theme, complete with plenty of music from the show! The wedding reception was in the East Gallery, where there was a unique art installation on the wall that accented their decor perfectly! All the small details from many amazing vendors fit together perfectly. They ended the night with a Tassa Band on the dance floor! For smaller wedding guest counts, the Grounds for Sculpture’s Rat’s is a very popular choice. Paisley & Joe’s very high guest count made the large Seward Johnson Center for the Arts a perfect choice. Catering was provided by the Constellation Culinary Group, the wedding venue’s main partner. As you’ll see, the reception space was absolutely unforgettable. There were endless details showcasing the wonderful cultures of the bride and groom. We had so much fun dancing! The wedding cake was especially unique, following the Game of Thrones theme!
