There’s something special about a wedding in December that makes us feel warm and fuzzy inside. The wedding photos end up being so unique as well! Hannah & Nicholas chose this boutique hotel near New Hope, PA, for both their wedding ceremony and reception. The word hotel barely does this wedding venue justice, as du Village truly feels more like an exclusive estate wedding.

When people ask us for our advice as wedding photographers, we always say to choose a wedding venue that can host the entire wedding event, which incredibly reduces wedding stress. This is why we so often recommend Hotel du Village, because there are exquisite spaces for every part of your wedding timeline. Instead of paying for hotel rooms and room service off-site, your bridal party can get ready in the bridal suite and cigar room of this beautiful venue. The guys will undoubtedly spill over to the outdoor patio space for yard games, as the girls enjoy the modern amenities Hotel du Village offers.

Your guests staying for a lavish weekend getaway can receive wonderful tours of the entire venue, as they find manicured gardens surrounding the entire venue. Of course, the event coordinator will ensure the bride and groom have complete privacy for the entire process.

Choose from two distinct ballrooms for your wedding reception, both with access to the fire pit areas

The Colt Ballroom

A historic space that features a copper-detailed fireplace, handcrafted woodwork, rustic beams, and restored hardwood floors. The pre-function room is enclosed with large windows that capture the beauty of the nearby river and historic gardens. The piano and chandeliers can be adorned with flowers by your event stylist, which is a dream come true for us wedding photographers! Magnificent skylights allow the outdoors to come in, creating a sense of openness and airiness. The attached foyer with private entrance to the Ballroom opens onto a full view of the stream and meticulously landscaped gardens. During cocktail hour, the hors d’oeuvres chosen during your lovely tasting prior to the wedding are passed with white glove service. We’re big fans of the noodle bar! This space can accommodate up to 240 guests for a seated dinner. The loft above the Colt Ballroom is the perfect place to continue the celebration with a nightcap, because of course you need to keep the wedding day going as long as possible! Guests can then meander their way back to their private hotel room on foot.

The Historic Ballroom

The space can accommodate up to 140 guests and is ideal for cocktail hour, dinner, and reception dancing. The design features hand-blown glass windows, reclaimed wood ceilings, and artistic tile. The original bar is the focal point of the cocktail hour, where guests can meet and mingle while admiring the centuries-old craftsmanship. The hand-blown glass windows set the perfect backdrop for pictures and your wedding cake, with their intricate designs and vibrant colors. The reclaimed wood ceiling adds a touch of rustic charm, while the artistic tile provides a pop of color. The original bar is a work of art in itself, with its intricate carvings and polished wood. The space is also well-equipped for events of all sizes. The cocktail hour area has plenty of space for guests to mingle, while the dining area can be set up for a sit-down dinner. The dance floor is large enough for even the most energetic guests!
