Jenn and Gary will always hold a special place in our heart. So we were especially excited for their Parque Wedding at Hunting Hill Mansion in Ridley Creek State Park. We’ve known these two lovebirds ever since we went to Penn State together. It’s crazy to look back on all the memories and see how much has changed.
Parque Wedding Venue
Parque is a wonderful wedding venue by Peachtree Catering. The structure is in the middle of Ridley Creek State Park. The park is absolutely gorgeous! We’ve photographed engagement sessions all over the grounds. The Parque wedding venue is inside the English-tudor stone mansion. The grounds are meticulously maintained by the wonderful Olmsted Associates. In fact, Olmsted actually designed Central Park! There are formal gardens, natural fields and woods, ponds, fountains, and stonework.
Ridley Creek State Park encompasses 2,606 acres in Delaware County. Guests will be in awe of grounds, which are only 25 minutes from the Philadelphia airport. If your guests are traveling from out of town, they should absolutely visit the nearby Longwood Gardens. Of course, we love photographing Longwood Garden engagement sessions!
The wedding ceremony location at Parque is timeless. The historic stonework steps and arches are unique to Parque. Such a majestic and yet tranquil setting provides the perfect backdrop for your guests to intently listen to your vows. The beautiful trees often provide just the right amount of shade, while letting some beautiful light through.
After the ceremony, guests are just steps away from the Hunting Hill Mansion wedding reception. Cocktail hour is often enjoyed on the stone patio, or inside if weather insists. The vast mansion enchants guests to explore, with a large reception space for dinner and dancing. Importantly, one of our favorite aspects of a Parque wedding is that the ceremony and reception are on the same grounds. When that isn’t the case, sometimes guests struggle with all the transportation between different locations.
